Bookkeeping Services In Humble, TX, Listed In Full

What follows is the complete list, not a selection. If a line below is the only thing you need this year, that is a perfectly good engagement. If your books have not been touched since you opened, start with catch-up and we will build forward from there.

Bookkeeping

Nine services

Monthly Bookkeeping

Every transaction categorized, every account reconciled against its statement, and a closed set of books in your hands on the same date each month. Closing is the part that matters: an open period can still be changed, which is why a report printed in March may not match the same report printed in June. This is the service most owners come for and the one that makes the rest of the ledger dependable.

Monthly Bookkeeping

Quarterly Bookkeeping

For businesses with lower transaction volume that do not need a monthly close. We reconcile and close three months at a time on a schedule set at the start of the year, and you get statements for the quarter with the prior quarter beside them. The trade is honest: you pay for less work and you find problems later, which is fine at forty transactions a month and not at four hundred.

Quarterly Bookkeeping

Annual Bookkeeping

A full year built and closed in one engagement, for owners who have kept their own records and need them turned into something a lender or a tax preparer can rely on. We work from source statements rather than from a spreadsheet, because the statement is the one document neither of us can argue with. The output includes a year-end handoff pack.

Annual Bookkeeping

Catch-Up & Cleanup Bookkeeping

Books behind by a quarter or by several years, or done wrong and now full of numbers that look finished. We work backwards through bank and card statements, rebuild the missing months oldest first, correct what was miscategorized rather than offsetting it, and hand back a file that balances. This is the highest-urgency work we take on.

Catch-Up & Cleanup Bookkeeping

QuickBooks Online Setup & Management

New file setup, migration from a spreadsheet or another platform, and ongoing management inside QuickBooks Online. Most of the problems we are called in to fix were created in the first two hours of setup and then repeated for three years. Handled by a certified ProAdvisor who is in client files every week rather than once at year end.

QuickBooks Online Setup & Management

Accounts Payable Management

Vendor bills captured, coded, dated and queued, with an aging report and a payment run prepared for your approval. You keep control of what goes out the door and stop finding invoices after they were due. Duplicates get caught at entry, and contractor records stay current through the year so vendor reporting is a report rather than a reconstruction.

Accounts Payable Management

Accounts Receivable Management

Invoices raised and sent on your terms, payments matched to the specific invoice, and an aging report that says exactly who is late and by how much. Most small businesses are not short of money so much as short of collected money, and the customers quietly stretching to seventy-five days are never the ones you would have guessed.

Accounts Receivable Management

Financial Statement Preparation

Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statement prepared from reconciled records and formatted so the reader does not need an accounting background. The order is the whole difference: reconciled first, printed second. A statement produced from an open period is a formatted guess that will be treated as fact by whoever you hand it to.

Financial Statement Preparation

Chart of Accounts Setup

The structure everything else sits on. We build a chart of accounts that matches how your business actually earns and spends, instead of the generic template the software ships with. A restaurant with one cost of goods line cannot see whether food or beverage is the problem, and every transaction underneath it was coded correctly.

Chart of Accounts Setup

Payroll

Four pay cycles

Payroll Processing

All four pay cycles, weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly, run through QuickBooks Payroll on the schedule your business already uses. Every run is recorded to the right expense and liability accounts and reconciled in the month it is paid, which is the step that gets skipped elsewhere and the reason so many inherited files carry payroll liabilities settled a year ago.

Payroll Processing

Monthly Financial Reporting Package

A packaged set of statements delivered after each month closes, with the prior month set alongside so movement is visible while it is still recent enough to act on. Most small businesses see their numbers once a year, months after the year ended, at which point nothing in them can be changed.

Monthly Financial Reporting Package

Inventory Tracking

Stock on hand, cost of goods sold, and the adjustments that keep the two honest, tracked inside QuickBooks Online rather than a side spreadsheet. Because inventory sits on the balance sheet and cost of goods sits on the profit and loss, a figure that has drifted makes both statements wrong at once and makes margin look better than it is.

Inventory Tracking

Job Costing

Revenue and cost tagged to the individual job, project, crew or location, so you can see which work carries the business and which only looks profitable. A business with a healthy overall margin can be losing money on a third of its work, with the good jobs quietly subsidising the bad ones and nothing in the reports saying to stop bidding them.

Job Costing

Grant Application Support

Financial records, statements and supporting schedules prepared to the format a grant application asks for. We work alongside your organisation as an outside bookkeeping firm, supplying the numbers and the backup while your team writes the application. Applications fail on the financial section more often than on the narrative.

Grant Application Support

Restaurant & Food Service Accounting

Daily sales imported and reconciled against the settlement record, tips handled correctly, food and beverage cost tracked separately, vendor invoices entered as they arrive, and payroll on the weekly cycle most kitchens run. A restaurant does not run on a monthly cycle and a generic template reports none of the numbers that decide whether it works.

Eighteen services, one ledger, one close date you can plan around.

What We Don't Do

Wolf and Tiger Bookkeeping is a bookkeeping practice. We do not provide CPA services, tax preparation, or tax advice, and we do not perform audits. What we do instead is hand your tax preparer a clean, reconciled set of books, which is the part that usually goes wrong. Staying inside that line is how we stay good at it.

Before You Pick One

Do I Have To Take More Than One Service?

No. If a single line below is the only thing you need this year, that is a perfectly good engagement and we will scope it that way.

Which One Should I Start With?

Whichever is costing you most. If the books are behind, that is catch-up and cleanup. If they are current but the reports are useless, it is usually the chart of accounts.

What Do You Not Do?

We do not provide CPA services, tax preparation, tax advice or audits. We are a bookkeeping practice, and staying inside that line is how we stay good at it.

Start With Whichever One Is Costing You Most.

You do not have to take the whole list. Name the piece that is causing the most trouble and we will scope that first.
